We want to make setting up and paying your utilities as easy as possible. All utilities are now included in our on-campus apartments and are kept in CPM’s name, so you don’t have to worry about making separate payments. If you’re bringing your car to UIUC, CPM has you covered! Whether you’re renting an apartment or needing a temporary spot to park your car for the semester or (even for a week), simply contact us. At CPM we are committed to making your campus living as easy and stress-free as possible. Here are the answers to some of your most frequently asked questions.
Rent is due the first of the month. Late fees are 5% of the monthly rent and are assessed on the second of the month. You can pay by check or money order mailed to the CPM main office (be sure to include your full name, and the reason for payment in the memo.) You can also pay online through Tenant Portal.
Power and water will be kept under Campus Property Management’s name! This means that CPM covers Power and Water up until a cap. The cap is $1 per day per person up to the number of bedrooms on the lease. Any overage will be billed to the tenant with the power and water accounts kept in CPM's name for the duration of the lease. ON CAMPUS ONLY! Does not apply to Houses. Restrictions apply.
We love pets at CPM, but cats and dogs are only permitted in a few of our buildings. To see these locations, be sure to use the cat and dog friendly filters on our apartment search engine. Small pets in a cage or tank are welcome at all of our locations. Learn more about our pet policies.
In a sublease agreement, lessees agree to a contract with sub-lessees that will allow those sub-lessees to live in their rented apartment for a certain period of time. During the course of your lease with CPM, you may find yourself needing to consider subleasing. Whether this is due to a study abroad trip, an internship, or plans to head home for the summer, our leasing agents will be happy to help you make sure a secure UIUC apartment subleasing agreement is in place!
