And just like that, September is finished. It seems like it has only just begun and now it’s over!(it’s still way too hot for fall, tbh). October 1st is tomorrow, so we’re officially entering into prime Halloween season. With the first week of October comes many fun things to do in Champaign-Urbana. Having so much to look forward to make it much easier to leave September behind. Let’s take a look at what’s all happening this week in town!

Parkland College Theater Productions’ fall play is Elephant Graveyard. The opening night is this Thursday at 7:30 pm and will be at the Black Box Theater. Here’s what the play is about:
The Sparks World Famous Circus had finally arrived! It rolled into the muddy humdrum town of Erwin in East Tennessee via the railroad carrying all the trappings of the spectacular—a Ring Master, a Ballet Girl, a Strongman, an Elephant on parade—and the town was filled with fervent enthusiasm. But, by turns horrific, the fervor turns in on itself when a tragic death leads to a staggering resolution in 1916 Americana.
