We may still be on break-mode, but that doesn’t mean Champaign-Urbana is. This week, get out of your apartment and try out some of the events going on this week in town. There is a mix of fun events as well as activities to help people start the new year on the right foot. Let’s take a look!

Tuesday, January 7th

Thursday, January 9th

If you like to be creative, but don’t know where to start or how to get back into making crafts, stop by Pretties by Paris this Thursday! They will be hosting an open class from 5 to 9 p.m. where anyone can come in to make a home decor item. This is a great chance to try out an adult craft class for free, and it allows you to use your creativity! Pretties by Paris just asks that participants start painting no later than 7 p.m. so that everyone has a chance to finish their piece before they close for the evening. If New Year’s resolutions aren’t really your thing, try a word of the year instead! They will be hosting a workshop to help people discover what word of the year would be a good fit for them. Cost is $10 for a personalized session and an extra $8 for a bracelet with your word on it. You can join in this enlightening workshop led by Erin Tarr, who is a personal development coach. Learn more about what this event is about and how you can participate by clicking this link
