Welcome back from Thanksgiving break! We hope you had a lot of good food and were able to relax and enjoy spending time with friends and family. While finals may be just around the corner, there are plenty of fun events in Champaign-Urban this week to help you procrastinate studying. Who would turn down holiday markets, wreath making, or a disco at the Union to stay home and study or write a paper? Not me. Of course, studying is important and must be done, but a little break is good to help refocus and keep the mind fresh. Let’s take a look at what’s going on this week in town!

Tuesday, December 3rd

The Collective is hosting a thrift store pop-up at Cafe Paradiso tomorrow! Find gently used clothing to buy while supporting the arts in town. The Collective is a free-form magazine that showcases UUIC artists and their work. This event will help fund their 5th issue. Bring your own bag, grab a coffee, and get shopping! The pop-up store will be at Cafe Paradiso from 4 to 6 p.m. Click here for more information about the event and to learn how you can donate your own gently used clothing items for the shop!

Make your own wreath at Hopscotch Bakery + Market! Old Town Flowers UC will be at the bakery from 6 to 8 p.m. to show you how to make a beautiful winter wreath. All the materials you will need to create your one-of-a-kind wreath are included with your ticket. Get your tickets early, as this event is very popular and usually sells out! Find out more here
