It's November! There are only two more months of 2020, and that makes me happy. Hopefully, we can make the most of this time by enjoying some local events safely and responsibly! Let's take a look at what's happening this week in town. 

Monday, November 2nd

The minute Halloween is over, some people are ready to jump right into Christmas. If this describes your holiday philosophy, you're in luck! Prairie Gardens sells some of the best holiday decorations in town, and they are having an open house to show all their new products. Stop by today for a Christmas market of sorts! Tuesday, November 3rd

Stressed about the election? Take your mind off of politics for a bit with a relaxing yoga session at Sleepycreek Vineyards. From 6 to 7 p.m., enjoy a yoga class held in the Dragonfly room. Missing open mic nights at Espresso Royale? Us, too! Anika Emily and Champaign-Urbana Open Mic Nights are hosting a virtual open mic night this Thursday from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Espresso Yourself Cafe Open Mic Night is open to anyone wanting to share music or poetry. Friday, November 6th

It's the first Friday of the month! That means it's time to learn something new with the Kaler Science Lecture series. This month, the topic is Atomic advancement. "Katy Huff (UIUC, Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering) will present on what's new in nuclear energy. This talk will demystify transformative new reactor, fuel, and recycling technologies ready to support a clean energy future worldwide."
