Puppy chow is probably the best thing to come out of the midwest. Everyone loves it. For St. Paddy’s Day, treat yourself and your friends to a new take on this sweet snack. Instead of peanut butter and milk chocolate, you’ll use white chocolate and vanilla frosting to coat the chex. Add a couple drops of green food coloring to the chocolate coating, pour over the chex cereal, and then toss with powdered sugar to finish. Though this recipe doesn’t call for it, I recommend adding some green or gold sprinkles or maybe some Lucky Charms marshmallows. Find the full recipe here!
Lucky Charms Cake
This is the most adorable cake. It's whimsical, easy to make, and perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. All you need is two boxes of vanilla cake mix, two cans of white frosting, and one family sized box of Lucky Charms. Follow the instructions on the box to bake the cake, let cool and then frost it. The fun, but most time-consuming, part is to separate the marshmallows from the cereal and then press the marshmallows into the frosting. Make sure there is little to no room between the marshmallows. For a little surprise when you slice the cake, dye the cake batter green before you bake it! Find the recipe here.
