Prairie Rivers Network is excited to bring one of the largest environmental film festivals to Illinois. The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is a collection of films from the annual festival held in Nevada City, CA, now in its 15th year! The festival focuses on films which speak to the environmental concerns and celebrations of our planet, and it gives PRN an opportunity to inspire the public to affect environmental change here in Illinois. The festival offers ways for our members, supporters, and friends to get energized and empowered to work to protect clean water, wildlife habitat, and our rich natural landscapes. Reception at 5:30 PM. The film program begins at 6 PM today, April 4th 2017.
Tickets are $10 or $30 plus membership donation to PRN.

Boneyard Creek Art Festival is this weekend! Many different venues are hosting a large amount of local artists! This is the biggest art festival in Chambana, and worth checking out!
CU Woodshop will be hosting over 20 artists who work in a variety of mediums. From woodworkers to photographers to painters, art will be displayed all around our store. Bring your friends and family for a day of creativity and exploration. Open Friday 9AM-6PM and Saturday 9AM-3PM!
Most artists will be selling their work! Take home a one of a kind piece that will warm your home and support our local artists. We value the creativity in our community and want to show you what these artists have to offer.
Demonstrations will be happening all day, both days:
-Chainsaw Carving with Jesse Beeson: Watch Jesse Beeson transform logs of wood into masterful carvings, including his signature piece “Happy Bear”, using a chainsaw and a lot of skill.
-Wooden Bowl Turning with Jerry Rhoads: Jerry Rhoads will take you through the steps of turning a block of wood into a functional, beautiful bowl using a wood turning lathe.
It’s K-Week starting Sunday with the KSA Talent Show at the Foellinger Auditorium at 6PM-8PM! Afterwards, they have events every single day for you to interact with!
And of course, as you all well know, it’s Moms Weekend! There are many wonderful events to do this weekend besides the ones stated above! One of the bigger events is the Illini Union Board Craft Fair on Saturday, 10AM-5PM!
