Property Maintenance Technician/ Plumber.

One of the largest Property Management companies in Champaign- Urbana; with 40 years in business, and a portfolio of over 1,800 properties is currently seeking for a full time Maintenance Technician with a strong Plumbing background to be part of our core employees.

Job Description

* Strong knowledge understanding pipes to replace, install, and do preventative work on; not limited to sweat copper pipes.

* Install PVC drain pipes.

* Replace faucet inside parts.

* Run a sewer auger.

* Check and adjust pool chemicals

* Run pool pump and filters

* Solder copper

* Experience working with sprinkler systems

* Experience working with Fire alarm controls.

* Plumbing troubleshooting experience.

* Select, maintain, and use tools and equipment.

* Troubleshooting and fixing stoves, washers, dryers, and dishwashers a PLUS.

Requirements

* Physical Strength to be able to bend, reach out, and lift up to 50Lbs.

* High School Diploma or Equivalent GED.

* Trade certification PLUS or Equivalent years of experience.

* Valid Driver License, Vehicle, Box of tools needed.

* Availability to work some weekends.

Job Description

* Select, maintain, and use tools and equipment.

* Install, Maintain, and repair wiring systems.

* Electrical troubleshooting experience.

* Residential wiring such as but not limited to: Circuitry, rough- in wiring, trim out, hanging fixtures, replace breaks and receptacle.

* Able to use digital and analog multimeter

* Electrical troubles shoots and fix stoves, washers, dryers, and dishwashers a PLUS.

Requirements

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician assists with all aspects of the property’s maintenance including preventive, corrective, and emergency. This individual must demonstrate a basic understanding and knowledge of general maintenance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electricity, and appliances.

These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Install window screens and blinds.

* Install Interior and exterior doors

* Repair drywall, holes, tape and repaint.

* Replace glass in windows

* Repair flat tar based roofs.

* Carpentry repairs on cabinets and windows; Replace cabinets.

* Replace faucet inside parts

* Fix anything wrong with a toilet.

* Unjamb a garbage disposal.

* Troubleshooting on electrical circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches and fuses, light fixtures.

* Work on Appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers A PLUS

Job Requirements

Physical Demands and Requirements:

Able to physically perform the following duties for prolonged periods of time:

Bending

Walking

Kneeling

Stretching

Qualifications

•    High school diploma or equivalent.

•    Willingness to perform all required tasks

•    Demonstrated knowledge of work safety habits

•    Ability to professionally represent the company

•    Supply basic tools

•    Valid Driver license and a vehicle
